Are Twitter & Co. Suitable for Businesses?
Microblogging platforms such as Twitter and yammer are becoming ever more popular. The success of these social media platforms raises the question of the relevance and potential they might have for the business sector. More and more enterprises are discovering these generally open platforms for themselves. Until now, microblogging has mainly been used externally for PR and marketing activities. However, microblogging also has the potential to make a substantial contribution to improving internal communication processes within companies.
mm1 Consulting & Management has published an article in the journal "COMPUTERWOCHE", which sets out the chances and opportunities of internal microblogging, and also explains how and under which conditions it can be realized in a company. In addition, the article also deals with the concerns and obstacles that may arise from the introduction of such a system.
Our white paper (in German), which was the basis for the article in "COMPUTERWOCHE", is available as download. The original text of the article in the journal you can find here.
